In a meadow wedding location you’ll need all the basics covered, and we provide the essential infrastructure needed for a successful party. This includes elegant marquees, ample parking, lighting, stage and seating, along with charming details like rugs, fires, and hay bales if you require.

What’s included?
If you’ve been searching for affordable wedding venues in Sussex, you’re in the right place! And it doesn’t have to be a wedding - The Meadow is the ultimate versatile venue…
Please read the descriptions to understand everything included in our events package. Some items, like toilets and generators are compulsory, while others you can choose whether you require or not.
With all the basics taken care of we invite you to make the space uniquely yours. Infuse your celebration with a personal touch and express your own style, decorations, and culinary choices to craft an event that feels completely personal to you.

Full use of the entire meadow for the duration of your event. Available for 3 days; 1 day either side of the event for set up and 1 day and night for the event (unfortunately we cannot currently offer overnight camping). This includes staff, project management and general support and assistance for your event.

We offer 2 configurable Capri marquees (28’ x 38') complete with with seating, tables and floors for up to 100 people.
We also provide tents for your caterers to use .
Should you wish to have a secular ceremony or blessing on site we can also accommodate this with a dedicated area and seating.
Due to access limitations we are not able to work with other marquee providers.

Hire of sufficient generators for your event and toilet facilities is compulsory as part of our package.
We can offer a choice of basic or luxury toilet hire and will arrange these and appropriate generators on your behalf.

The marquee site and walkways will be decorated with festoon lighting.
We also offer pealights to decorate the inside arches of the marquees as an option.

If your party includes a live band or DJ we can provide a plug and play PA with sound engineering services included.
For this you’ll also need a stage, dance floor and lighting, which we can provide too!
Please note that there is a strict noise restriction policy and we do not allow amplified music after 11pm. Thereafter you are welcome to play acoustic music around the campfire until the event closes.

We provide ample parking and a parking warden in the field, behind the marquees for those arriving by car.

Fire pits with firewood and a chill out area can be provided on request for your guests to relax in a warm and cosy atmosphere as the sun goes down.
How to book
Don’t hesitate to get in touch via our online form and tell us all about your plans. When your requirements have been confirmed and you are ready to book we’ll send you a booking form and ask you to pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the hire cost.
